Het was koud.  Het regende.  Het was hefstweer in Juli, hetgeen we gewend zijn dit jaar.  Dus, er was bijna geen kat op de VestConcerten.  Maar, de thuisblijvers hebben allemaal een schitterend concert gemist van de beste Vlaamse groep die ik in jaren gehoord heb: Garcia Goodbye!  Hun pop-rock klonk zonnig, opgeruimd en gevoelig tegelijkertijd.  Geen wonder dat ze worden geboycot door de officiele en gesubsidieerde radio- en televisiestations.  Want tot meer dan de gebruikelijke Eurosong-gezever zijn die niet is staat!

It was cold.  It rained.  It was autumn-weather in July, but we're getting used to that this year.  So, when it was time for the Vest-Concerts, everyone stayed at home.  However, they all missed a briljant concert of the best Flemish band, I've heard in years: Garcia Goodbye!  Their pop-rock sounded sunny, cheerful and sensitive at the same moment.  No woder that they're under a boycot from the official and subsidised radio- and TV-broadcasts.  Because, they're completely unable to give us anything better than the usual Eurosong-bullshit!
